As a payments technology company, BlueSnap is required to collect and verify information about all BlueSnap merchant accounts as part of our Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering (KYC/AML) process. Regulators require these steps to prevent money laundering, tax evasion, and other financial crimes.
BlueSnap collects the following merchant information:
- Business — Details about the business, such as legal name, location, and product offerings.
- Banking — Merchant bank account and refund details.
- Ownership — Personal information about the business owner.
- Company representative — Personal information about a person that oversees the business, such as the CEO.
Application Options
Both BlueSnap Dash™ and BlueSnap Relay™ partners have multiple options to offer prospective merchants that need to complete our application process:
- Hosted Application (Dash) — Code-free, localized application that you share with your merchants. BlueSnap securely collects your merchant's data so you can onboard merchants quickly and with minimal effort—your platform does not need to develop or maintain any portion of the data collection or application submission process.
- White-labeled Hosted Application (Dash and Relay) — Completely white-labeled version of our Hosted Application. You provide a corporate logo and brand colors to go live quickly with minimal effort while providing a custom application experience. The only indication that you use a hosted solution is that
bluesnapis present in the application URL. - API Application (Dash and Relay) — Leverages our APIs to create a completely white-labeled application. This solution requires initial and ongoing development efforts on your part.
